Tri-tec 14 is an effective insect repellent for horses.
The composition of Tritec 14 for horses combines the immediate action of natural pyrethrins with the longer-lasting action of pyrethroids.
For example, Cypermethrin alters the permeability of the nerve cell membrane, causing paralysis in the insect, while Pyrethrins have an immediate antiparasitic effect upon direct contact with parasites.
Tri-tec 14 is also a totally harmless insect repellent for the horse; in fact, it creates a sun filter, providing even more protection.
The only thing to avoid is spraying Tritec 14 for horses on the head, particularly towards the eyes, nose, and mouth, where it is instead recommended to use a roll-on.
